After studying more than 20 remedial concepts, Museum Tower’s team of world-class experts found one solution that would successfully eliminate reflected light in the Nasher Sculpture Center’s galleries. The following studies are the result of months of research, testing and computer modeling to produce a recalibrated roof treatment. The environmental engineering firm RWDI produced the research and recalibrated sun screen or oculi design. Dr. R. John Koshel, PhD and Dr. James C. Wyant, PhD, faculty members at the highly regarded University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences, peer-reviewed and computer modeled the new oculi design, confirming its effectiveness and benefits.
